I hate writing this but it seems to me if we have nasty"I surrendered before I got here" ROE's, chasing after a bad guy in Helmund province WE let go( or is Osama there), and 30,000,000 illegals here at home we're going to have to let this Afghanistan war go...Osama will rear his head when he considers us "surrendering " and we'll get him but damn it's just not making sense to me. What would we gain? Really. What? land? Oil? Opium poppies? a couple worn Quran's?

With cap and trade, bail out plans, dopey health plans, Climate Control, and our weird border plans and illegal plans( ?? is there one?) we've got major problems here at home.( and our elected officials have either become eunuchs or serving thier own interests, or bullied into taking a vote for ..what? or all of the above).

This is not the military's fault. It's now a political war and no one wins these things. Granted I'm talking with very little experience and just a hobby of military Hx( was a soldier once)but this is just confusing me. You don't throw millions in weaponry and thousands of good soldiers into dead ends...it's suicide by politics and our soldiers from the lowest to the highest are better than this.

Please someone explain the war, the present war and why we should continue this. I'm willing to read. p>
