A former Las Vegas director for the political advocacy group ACORN has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge and agreed to testify against the group and another employee.
Chief Deputy Nevada Attorney General Conrad Hafen said Wednesday that Christopher Edwards' plea deal strengthens a felony case against the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now and Amy Busefink, a former regional voter registration director.
They're accused of illegally paying canvassers to register voters during last year's presidential campaign.
Edwards pleaded guilty this week to two counts of conspiracy to commit the crime of compensation for registration of voters.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 17.
Hafen says the group had a local policy of paying bonuses to canvassers who signed up 21 or more new voters per shift.
The law is working it’s way to the top of the ACORN tree.
Lets hope when we take this back we don’t forget the treasonists, and thier organizations who helped put us here.
This should not go unpunished! free society or not!
With our tax dollars going to fund this illegality which commits fraud against this country. Where are those in authority who will stop this? Oh yeah, busy supporting ACORN to help them win elections.
This guy KNEW, when it was going on, that it was illegal. So we already know his character.
We know that the gov has “bought him off” with a reduced sentence.
We know that ACORN has been given literally billions of our tax dollars.
So, with poor character and a “rich” organization under indictment, we must wonder if this guy STAY bought off?
I cant believe that this is all that has been done about ACORN so far. On July 23, 2008, the ACORN report was released declaring ACORN to be a criminal organization, and to date the Obama minions have really squashed its existence.

Glad to hear this.
I hope he is under PC.
This does not mean political correctness either.
That headline is strange. I would love to see Ex-Acorn. This guy is an ex-director.
Good. Between this, Reid, and the economy down the tubes in Vegas maybe we can get Nevada back and send Reid packing.
These boneheads better pray that Sarah doesn’t become POTUS or it’s RICO city on their asses.
Any bets on his having some sort of “accident” prior to his testimony? Maybe he needs to be in protective custody!
