It seems to me that something about Asian culture devalues life.
“and yes there is something known as Asian culture.”
No there isn’t.
“I’m talking about a broader willingness to be cruel. “
Your racism is telling.
“It seems to me that something about Asian culture devalues life.”
As opposed to 40 million unborn babies killed in the US??
More accurately, Eurasia is a continent, as the division between Asia and Europe isn't geographical in nature.
Asian is a race of people.
Nope. Armenians, Siberian Russians, Arabs and Vietnamese are about as diverse as you can get.
yes there is something known as Asian culture.
Nope again. What exactly do Saudis, Georgians, Japanese, Afghans and Bengalis have in common culturally?
“It seems to me that something about Asian culture devalues life.”
There is no “Asian Culture.”
Each nationality is different and if you attempt to tar a Chinese as Taiwanese as Japanese as Thai or Malaysian, you are completely off base.
Each culture is different. There are evil people all over, many in the US, so don’t attempt to tar all Asians.
Not that if forces cruelty, but cultures that elevate community over individuality tend to value individual life much less and value tribal unity much more.
To those of us who do value life and liberty, it certainly appears that the cultures are cruel and sickening. We would like to think that, even in war, we would value the individual lives of our enemies, and not use 2-year-olds as target practice.
But to communal cultures, the idea of caring about the lives of people who are in another tribe, or a different culture, is almost foreign, and killing other tribes, brutally and sadistically torturing and raping those in other groups, seems no more of an ethical concern than swatting a fly.
