I am pretty sure that you can “Open Carry” in any state.
This was fully covered during Katrina when it was common to carry heat on a belt to even get gasoline and not have your car high jacked!
a) This rully, rully concerns me. Yawn.
b) Since so may states states recognize carry rights, his world just shrunk vastly.
c) Now he’ll be able only to write “Travel guides for liberals”. He just cut his market in half, even without accounting for the number of conservatives who wouldn’t buy his stuff anymore. The market does its work again!
There are other states that allow open carry too. Will he boycott them as well?
I thought he was dead
sounds like a pussy to me...
Actually, you cannot open carry in any state, although I personally think you should be able to.
Let me re-state that; You CAN open carry in any state....you will just be arrested in many of them.
When are you guys going to get a carry permit law? I may be coming up that way in a few weeks and it kind of wee wees me off that you guys don’t honor FL permits.
Luv those cheese curds though!!!
I believe there is a group called the pink pistols which would argue with part of your statement. Don’t know anything about them but have heard them mentioned on a gun show I like to listen to and apparently they are very pro 2nd Amendment.
Frommers sucks anyways.
Arthur Fromer will feel so much safer in New York city or anywhere else in the Northeast for that matter./Sarcasm
I’m sure Arizona is a hell of a lot safer then New York will ever be.
I stopped going to my local pet store after they put up an anti-Bush sign. Same with a local coffee shop.
An area bakery debuted with “Obama Brownies”. I refuse to go there. Why do people who sell things express their political opinions?
"Obama Brownies"?? LMAO!
You should go in and act all offended! Get all indignant and tell them how you think that "Obama Brownies" is a racist slur!!
Anyone dumb enough to support Obama is dumb enough to think it might actually be a racist comment!
bump for later
That site has incorrect information on South Carolina laws, it states that there is no open carry in South Carolina, actually open carry of handguns is allowed if you have a fishing or hunting license. As it was explained to me you can wear a handgun on your hip to stop and go in a store for a purchase on your way to fish or hunt but you cannot stand around and talk to someone for half an hour if you are carrying openly. I have been stopped by a game warden as I was beaching my fishing boat with a revolver in a holster on my side. The warden checked my fishing license and went on his way with not even a glance or a word to me about the revolver.
WHO????
Typical Liberal Slime.
(He made this statement for very cheap publicity)
We're 0 and 2 with CCW. The first try was vetoed by our governor, Jim Doyle, the re-vote fell two short. The next time it came up it passed again, was vetoed again, went up for a re-vote again and was one short. We're up for another shot at it and this time Doyle is leaving Wisconsin. I suspect he's been sucking around the Obama camp looking for crumbs from the big table, so we have a very good chance of joining the rest of the real world soon.
Having said that, Wisconsin has an "open carry" law which have been in the news this summer and the AG has said it is clearly legal and not a "disturbing the peace" offense. Try that if you feel up to it, I would caution against trying it in the larger metropolitan areas though. Our cops tend to use "because I say so" a lot.

I knew this travel “icon” would turn out to be Arthur Frommer when I clicked on the story. Years ago, he made a big hubbub on the radio about Bob Grant, father of talk radio. When WOR hired him Grant, after being canned by WABC, Frommer quit his own show on WOR,comparing Grant to Joseph Goebbels, and it just showed him to be about as open-minded as Barry Manilow refusing to go on THE VIEW because he didn’t like Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s being pro-life.
I’ll be sure to never use that travel service!!
