"Civil war" is probably not the correct way to characterize it. A "civil war" is when two or more groups of citizens actually go to war over something.

Perhaps more accurate would be to characterize it as the spread of apathy among the population, tending toward disdain for the antics of our government.... a rather different dynamic.

First of all, huge groups of “apathetic” citizens are showing up at town halls and tea party rallies to air their greivances. That is the anti-thesis of apathy.

Secondly, many FReepers reading your posts may become apathetic as you continually dismiss any idea of a positive future where anything good happens. Its as if your world is one in which Lindsey Graham and Arlen Spector serve as overlords dictating all lines of action, which is to say no action or inaction without tacit compromise precisely divided down the middle against itself.

The sun will shine again my brother. Have confidence in that.
