Horror in Knoxville update: Trial begins

Longtime readers will remember Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom, the young couple brutally murdered in a racially-charged case in Knoxville, TN in 2007. My archives on the case are here.

The trial of the first defendant Letalvis Cobbins began yesterday. The Knoxville News Sentinel reports:

I consistently query my kids, concerning exactly who they will be associating with when they go out. These questions are blunt and highly politically incorrect. But, they are based on the plain facts of the demographics of crime statistics.

I heard that the deceased girls dad went down and tried to post bail that night for all five of them when they were arrested and they wouldn’t release them. TN mountain justice would have been served swiftly and effectively if this is true.

If this crime does not deserve the death penalty then the death penalty needs to be removed from the books.

I won't speak for Jeff Chandler but here is how I take his joke:

Your questioning on "who" is good; I also concentrate on where and what time. We have two beautiful granddaughters in univ. One sophomore and one senior--UGA and U ofSoMS. They think nothing of getting on the road to or from home or a friend's alone, at 10:00 or 11:00 at night. To me, that is a very dangerous thing. If they stop for gas or a drink, people can see them. Heck, they are in danger if they stop at a light. I have told both of them if someone jumps in front of them and waves them to stop, just run them over.

Tawana Brawley LIED about an incident which even if true was a trip to Disneyworld compared to the horrors ACTUALLY suffered by this couple.

EVERYONE on FR should work to get this story out to every newspaper, tv station, radio talk-show, and any/every other media outlet. Let’s call it a “TEACHABLE MOMENT”. Let someone ask Obama about this case. Some BLACKS hate whites. THAT IS THE TRUTH. Why the fear in talking about it?
