Just who in the world would want him on their iPhone in the first place?
Well maybe we could get the Joker Obama pic on the iPhone. THEN, we’d all want it.
hey as long as it doesn’t “ridicule a public figure” you should be good.
Well we should submit it. Know any iphone app developers?
Why is apple censoring anything and why does anybody HAVE to go through the app store?
Isn’t this a free trade violation?
This is like car dealers who said any service OUTSIDE the dealership voided the warrenty. The same should apply here.
I thought ALL company execs were liberal (witness this last election cycle), but this has nothing to do with Apple being loaded with libs. My guess is that there’s some copyright issue involved and Apple simply sent a form letter to the “developer”.
Wish I did. Maybe other FReep peeps will know one.
What do you think the ratio of conservative/liberal owners of iphones is?
You said — Why is apple censoring anything and why does anybody HAVE to go through the app store? Isnt this a free trade violation?

LOL... you need to see what Microsoft, Blackberry, and Android stores are trying to do. Microsoft is complaining that the Apple iPhone App Store is selling their apps *too cheap*.... :-) Microsoft and those others want to *censor* cheap apps and free apps....

Here’s what one poster said over there... :-)
“Quit crying, Microsoft. The AppStore is as close to a free market as you’ll find with sellers choosing their prices and buyers deciding to buy or not.”

The only problem with Microsoft is that they have no taste. They have absolutely no taste! [Steve Jobs]
They [Microsoft] dont think of original ideas and they dont bring much culture into their product. [Steve Jobs]
I have a problem with the fact that they [Microsoft] make really third-rate products. [Steve Jobs]
I will admit, quite frankly, that I think Windows, today, is probably four years, behind three years behind, where it would have been had we not danced with IBM for so long. [Steve Ballmer]
I like seeing Steve Ballmer at a Developers Conference... LOL...

Isn't Gore still on the board of directors of Apple? If so, that would probably explain it.
There was talk about the original photographer vs the artistic rendering not too long ago. Some suggesting that the artist “stole” the photo, altered it and did not obtain permission or credit the original photographer.
