A town hall meeting is underway in Abingdon, Virginia, and a huge crowd turned out to talk health care.
The meeting hosted by U.S. Representative Rick Boucher (D Virginia 9th District) is going on at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center. 11 Connects digital journalist Dana Wachter is at the meeting and reported through Twitter: Wellmont CEO Mike Snow asked rhetorically, What are we arguing about anyway? Crowd yelled, Government control! Lots of verbal response here.

WELL BOUCHER TRIED TO START THE MEETING WITH A FREIND AS HE CALL THE FIRST PERSON AS HE SAID WOULD THE MAN IN THE BROWN SUIT ASK A QUESTION WELL GUESS WHAT IT WAS ROBERT GOLDSMITH OF PEOPLE INC. THAT BOUCHER HAS GOTTEN 10S OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR IN FEDERAL MONEY BOUCHER ACTED LIKE HE WAS A STRANGER EVEN THOUGH HIS WIFE WORKS FOR BOUCHER YOU DIDNT FOOL ANYONE EXCEPT YOUR SELF THE PUBLIC GETS IT THIS TIME AND YOU ARE NOT ON OUR SIDE
As if the GOP could organize such anger.....if Democrats think this is astroturf, they are gonna be in for a huge shock if they vote for government health care.
Does anyone here have an idea of what we could do if they indeed pass this monster? Riots or what???
The most effective response is a complete overturn of Congress in 2010.
BEAT THEM OVER THE HEAD WITH IT TIL THE ELECTION NEXT YEAR. THEN DE-FUND IT AND REPEAL IT. We will finally have the health care issue. Remember Liberalism always has unintended consequences.
We should not do anything or advocate such, but the amount of anger out there at this, i would not want to be at any local Democrat office. I don't see how there will not be some violence.
Did someone at the meeting call him on it?
Would love to see video of this when over - please post as soon as you can (hopefully someone is taping) ...don’t like news station coverage - they always leave out the best parts!
Any idea of the numbers in the crowd? Are the majority against it? We have to stay on these criminal vermin. The defecit is off the charts.
I’ll try. In the interim, reporter is Twittering. For now, I must return my attention to work.
Gotcha...thanx
Yes. The mid-term election WILL BE A REFERENDUM on BHO’s presidency. I’m hoping for a vote of no confidence.
Meanwhile, there are some state-level elections this year which are worth paying attention. Vote in your state to throw out Obama’s allies.
Others will get he message. More than anything, the pols want to preserve their elevated status.
I am not saying we should resort to violence. But a strong street march or shutting down D.C. with pople would sure be a good step. Or perhaps withholding our taxes. There has to be something other than waiting for the elections and then HOPING that we can undo what has been done. We have to be able to send a very strong message to the dems that the passage of this monster is not acceptable now or any other time.
You never shut up, you put your opinion out there any time you can and you help get non-RINOs elected.
I have started leaving comments to stupid dim editorials at my local paper’s website.
I have been doing that for a long time now, and no, I never shut up. ( I am told that often.)
I am just remembering that a thought of riots or unrest got Rodney King out of jail. Would dems think that conservatives would ever march in the streets or shut down a city?
Kick out all BOZerO cultic reps and their complicit RINO's too. Take out the trash in 2010---a thorough cleaning is in order.
Yeah,
White folks burning down their neighborhoods?
I think not.
Tar and feathering a few politicians? Now that may be a good idea.
