“...car dealers...government...is it too early to consider this validation of the no honor among thieves cliche?”
I was a dealer for many years. The overwhelming majority of dealers are far more honorable that the customers who make a deal to trade their vehicle—complete with its new tires—and return later to get their new car and turn in that trade, complete with THE BALD TIRES IT NOW WEARS!!! And then there are the trade-ins which happen to have SALVAGE TITLES—something which the customer completely forgets to mention to the dealership! And yes, I could go on and on. So next time you go for a laugh, figure out how to do it without having to be an ignorant simpleton. We have enough of those in DC.
I presume you mean "far more honorable than the..."
I figured I'd get at least one of these.
I wasn't going for laughs.
Anyone who's ever been through the "back room bump" would disagree about the "honorable" part.
As for "ignorant simpletons," if it wasn't for those, the repair department would never be a profit center.
