We are all sinners. Acceptance of sin as being “ok” is not biblical.

Not from here. I left the ELCA for the LCMS a while back.

I once called the Episcopal Church some unflattering things (I believe I called it the home of “Baby Killers for Christ”) due to their stance on abortion and the wacky lesbian ‘abortion is a sacrament’ dean of their seminary — and the weepy moaning gnashing “can’t we all get along with heretics” contingent came out in full force.

If they want to embrace heretical teachers that’s their concern, but I have no desire to be ecumenical with those who are blatantly anti-Christ.

Headline is wrong. It should be elca moves toward more open view on gays.

While the elca has the word Lutheran in its name, it has nothing else to do with Lutheranism.

Apparently, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is forgotten in the lore of Evangelical Lutheran Church teachings.

I left PCUSA about 8 years ago. Actually had a debate with other elders on what the churches stance was on abortion and gays.

Apparently, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is forgotten in the lore of Evangelical Lutheran Church teachings.

Funny you should mention that...this afternoon even as the Eclans were in session, a sharp wind, possibly a tornado, tore through Minneapolis blowing away a large tent that was to host some kind of lutheran gathering tonight, and more to the point, blew the steeple off the adjacent Lutheran church that was (is) to host a homosexual-oriented "communion" service tonight.

Probably just a coincidence...

A tornado just ripped through their convention in Minneapolis about 5 hours ago. No, I am not kidding. Tore down their tent and everything.

Wow is that a biased headline or what?

Perhaps they should be more “open” to the word of God.

Our family left the ELCA for the LCMS a few years ago.

Interesting that today in Minneapolis a tornado came thru the downtown area. It took the steeple off one of the largest and oldest ELCA churches in the cities. The church is right across the street from the convention center where the ELCA convention is. Maybe they should take it as a sign....

I wish that the MSM would stop using headlines that make it appear that there is only one Lutheran church in America. I am a pastor in The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS), and please do not confuse us with the ELCA. The ELCA is a typical liberal Protestant denomination, and it behaves just like all liberal Protestant denominations behave. They have abandoned the Word of God decades ago. Why any Christian would be a member of these puss pockets of heresy is beyond me.

Next on the agenda - a statement regretting the inconvenience to the angels ejected from Heaven, and a call for a new understanding between God and Satan.

I like reading Martin Luther’s works. I’m disgusted that this church calls it self Lutheran...why not, Sinners United Against Christ?
