You want to protect consumers? Do it the same way we protect consumers of dry cleaning, hamburgers and electricians: Give them the power to tell their insurance companies, "I'm taking my business elsewhere."

The people already have this power if they will only use it. Go to the Constitution and try and find where the government has the right to tell you what to do about your health insurance and health care. GO TO THE CONSTITUTION AND FORCE IT ON CONGRESS AND THE PRESIDENT.

You could fix 90 percent of the problems with health insurance by ending the federal law allowing states to ban health insurance sales across state lines.
This was the discussion on Sunday's Meet The Idiot (used to be Press) and when Dick Armey brought this up the lesbo Maddow tried to discount it but was unarmed in a battle of the wits with Armey.

It's a ploy to not let anyone buy insurance from any state.

What if you could only buy cars or anything else only in your own state? Absurd.

This is Ann at her best (with one teeny-tiny edit, as sometimes her humor devalues the weight of her arguments), but this is spot on.

Ann speaking about those who want Pres Obama to provide his long form birth certificate:

“........to be bringing this out as if it’s an issue, you know, it’s just a few cranks out there,” said Coulter. “It’s like when networks bring on the three remaining Klanners in America, on TV.”

I don’t respect her opinion anymore.

another illustration of the ironclad Ann Coulter rule that the worst Republicans are still better than allegedly "conservative" Democrats.

Actually, I think I like Specter more as a Democrat.

Ann will have to do better then warmed over, obvious arguments before she regains credibility.

Well that’s just fine.

Misunderstanding her intention with the KKK comment and posting it like she was comparing the klanners to the birthers is disingenous.

But that is what happens when CES pops up.

Yup, throw in tort reform, such as loser pays & problems pretty much go away.

This point cannot be repeated often enough. It IS the issue.

The biggest help in reform would be to stop the lawyers.

I believe this is the key. In recent years, the People's Republic of Massachusetts relaxed some of their controls on car insurance, and more companies entered the state. Even with that limited release, prices have come down dramatically. My car is a 2007, and my annual premium is less now than it was when I driving my 1996 'clunker' three years ago. And I increased certain optional coverage!

But when I changed health insurers a couple of years ago, I could only choose from four companies, where there are probably thousands nationwide.

Liberals don't want to hear this comparison, because it shows how the market works, and how the consumer can maintain some control over his destiny. They just hate that.

MY ANNIE IS BACK!!!

I will take a bit of issue that 90% could be solved by allowing cross-state insurance... I believe that at least half of that could be done instead by

TORT REFORM FIRST !!!

Nevertheless, she sure has more to say that is of use than Pelosi and Dear Leader!

Germany is a “socialist” country? That would be news to Chancellor Angela Merkel of the Christian Democratic Party!

It’s run by Chancellor Angela Merkel of the conservative “Christian Democratic Union”!

Let me guess. Every Wednesday until the Sun goes super-nova you’re going to remind us all you that don’t respect Ann Coulter’s opinion.

Why do you think we care?

Go back to DU. Rush never felt the need to put us down. She didn't need to call us names.
