It is OK to violate contracts with individuals (AIG execs) in favor of the collective, however, it is now unconstitutional to violate contracts with the Union (collective) in favor of the ... collective??? I'm confused. I am sure that enraged Maryland Voters and Legislature will consider Congress' example with AIG Execs and look at 90% tax of state worker's back pay. (sarc)

Contracts shouldn’t be violated except by bankruptcy... which is the defacto condition of the state. State employees shouldn’t be unionized, either, by and large.
