About one year ago, I completed two years working in the energy business as a field agent. Occasionally, I would need to get a death certificate (not a birth certificate) as proof that a spouse’s signature was not needed on an agreement.

Like BCs the DC is not to be given out to a non-family member, but in every case with just a little sweet talking I was able to get the local government official to make me a ‘non-official’ copy. That is a copy that was not certified or notarized.

The point of this anecdote is that official policy and actual practice can vary considerably. It is too bad that no one tried to get a copy from a friendly county worker prior to 2008 before the issue really became well-known.

There are at least five government workers who have recently plead guilty to viewing celebrity’s passport information, as well as presumably several more who were involved in processing BHO’s application as part of their legitimate duties. I wonder why nothing has leaked regarding what any of them found about about BHO from surreptitious or valid access?

In person, in an official capacity, that worked for you. But I would think that a death cert is different than a birth cert for a living person.

Maybe because they didn't want to end up like their buddy who was shot dead last year in front of his church. Interestingly, there has been zip, zero, nada, kaput follow up on the murder investigation.

Yes, where are the Whistleblowers? I found the following last fall but have to admit I don't have the source:

"A retired INS agent who worked when Obama came into the United States stated he distinctly remembered Obama because of his 'slick' manners and speech. The agent says that he went back into the INS files and found the information and that Obama came into the USA on a FS-1 passport/visa. FS-1 is a foreign student visa classification, not a US citizen passport."

So, who out there can get into the INS files and find Soreto/Obama's record of entry into the USA?
