It seems important that, beyond discussing here at FR, that the public knows that Dick Armey is not the Tea Party Movement.
Folks at 9/12 should see folks near Mr. Armey with signs and arrows that say he’s not the Tea Party Movement or whatever... Like it has been suggested with ACORN plants.
Is that over-the-top?
And at the very least, it would be nice to know Mr. Armey was aware that real grassroots takes exception with his claiming leadership of something he had nothing to do with.
In his right spot, which is the same as ours, that is, a concerned American, he is and should be welcome...
It seems wrong that his statement would go unchallenged everwhere except here on FR.
“Mr. Armey was aware that real grassroots takes exception with his claiming leadership of something he had nothing to do with.”
That’s not true though. He’s not claiming personal leadership. Dick Armey himself would say that he is not the Tea Party Movement. He *is* a leader, of a group called FreedomWorks, which has done a number of good things to help the Tea Party movement and protesters against Obama’s agenda.
They got ‘blamed’ for being the inspiration for townhall meeting mobs because of this ...

Criticizing Dick Armey for spreading the word about 9/12 rally is really narrow-minded.
