Something is afoot—of course, I don’t have to tell FReepers that.

I was kinda smelling rope-a-dope a little myself.

I'm wondering if this strategy is to take a little of the heat off the subject since Michael Jackson headlines faded away faster than they anticipated (thank God).

Additionally, stripping off the major sore spot on this bill will give the already numbed public a sign of relief and they won't pay attention to the remaining garbage in the bill or the secret amendments added to it and passed at 3:00AM on a Tuesday night.

We will also have lib-tards standing up saying the republicans are simply being difficult, ie: "we dropped the portion you were complaining about, now your still complaining" in an effort to not only draw support from some people, but to discredit the "republicans" who oppose this garbage. The dim-witted liberals still don't realize how much opposition in the public comes from their own party and they will continue to dangerously call them "astroturn followers" and "nazis". becasue Fox News made them do it.

What is afoot?

The rinos will come out after a few other cosmetic changes and announce that they have made changes that are significant and which allow them to “reluctantly” vote for the bill.

The sneaker is that the death clause is in the stimulus bill and is not needed in the health bill.

So again, the conservative public will get snookered by the likes of Lindsay Graham, Grassley, Snow, et al.
