I recall swallowing bile and defending McCain against Obama and Obama/Hillary and Obama in the end. Would give my right arm, probably a lot more, to now have McCain in office and not what we’re dealing with today. Didn’t actually realize how bad it would actually be when I almost wept on election night.
I don’t know if what you say about her stances is true and will need to find out. I have heard it before. She does, however, have some rather remarkable experience in the business world. That’s something we’re lacking in spades right now at every level, and that, in my view, gives her a very big leg up over her opponent.
To the extent her positions are at odds with ours, at the very least I know she MIGHT be turned in her views. McCain might have been turned. What hope do we have turning a bona fide ideological liberal from his/her agenda? I promise you, Obama and a good majority of other like-minded leftists will go to their graves without substantive compromise they can skate past. Especially when they own the reins of power.
