Like the Republicans would throw the vets under the bridge. GAWD, I hope that someone asks him the question about funding and who makes the choice who gets treatment and who doesn't.
Someone at the meeting needs to ask him, "If the health district is budgeted for $1,000,000 and granny needs dialysis or 20 women need prenatal care.... who decides who gets what?" What if it's a 60 year old lady that needs dialysis? What if its a 50 year old that needs dialysis? What if its a 40 year old that needs dialysis?"
Who decides where the money goes? THAT's why insurance companies MAKE PROFITS. In order to fund both. THAT's what the libs and the democrats DON'T want you to realize.
Insurance companies are like banks saving for the rainy day that you need expensive treatment. If they don't have the money they use the premiums and dividends from investments to pay the bills.
The government doesn't have a mechanism to "save" , they only know how to "estimate" costs and they don't do that well. So if there is a surplus, they spend to look good and the premiums(taxes) will make up the short fall.
But how many government bureaucrats can outperform the market... NONE. They don't have a clue about investments, risk retention pools, liability ratios and time lines for investments.. that's why private insurances HAVE to make millions in profits. They have to cover the 100,000 ICU bill and the clinic visit.
So ask Chet the liberal/fake Texan how the government is going to estimate costs and what are they going to do when they run short of money. Then ask him what will they do if they have a surplus... he won't have a f'ing clue... not one clue.

I hope somebody will remind all of them that the majority of people who are for government insurance are the same people...congressmen and union members... who will NOT be on it...in the beginning, anyway.
Edwards’ Aggie ring is the only reason he’s still in office, and that may not even help him through this mess.
