How does this compare with other first lady’s?
From the article;
“This amounts to a total of $1,083,700.00. Laura was no piker when it came to spending. But she pales in comparison with Miz Michelle requires eight to ten additional attendants at an extra cost to taxpayers of $700,000 and change - the only change American taxpayers can believe in.”
It’s well worth a read.
(I am not affiliated with the articles I post....I am far too lazy to write articles that no one will read!)
There was an earlier article on this that did compare with previous first ladies back to JFK’s. They had 2 to 6 attendants each.
I saw somewhere that Laura had one.
She has 300,000,000 to add yet. They do not.
I withdraw my remarks. I did read that Laura had one, but I was just surfing and read somewhere else that she had quite a few in reality.
So I think I'll just back out quietly since I don't really know what I'm talking about. Maybe someone else has better information.
Most former First ladies had 3 “attendants” or direct reports. One was a schedulng sectetary, another the “executive housekeeper”, and the third the executive chef.
My sister used to be the Executive Housekeeper under Nancy Reagan and later Barbara Bush. She loved both of those First Ladies.
Poor Mamie Eisenhower paid for her assistant out of her own pocket.
