I would bet that, although he has a lot of blinded followers, a lot of Obama’s support is really soft. They are afraid to register their disapproval, even to pollsters, at the risk of being called racist.

I would bet that, although he has a lot of blinded followers, a lot of Obamas support is really soft. They are afraid to register their disapproval, even to pollsters, at the risk of being called racist. The "soft" approvers have been steadily drifting away into the "disaprove" column. Look at trends. Back in 7/25, we had 30% strong approval and 19% moderate approval. Now we have 32% and 15%.
As Obama's absolute approval numbers decline, look for his supporters to become more rabid.
