U.S. President Barack Obama says news organizations are putting too much emphasis on scenes of hostile protesters at public meetings on his health care reform plan. The president received tough but polite questions from Americans Friday in the Northwestern state of Montana.
Mr. Obama said most meetings on his plan have been civil, and those that have been disrupted are in the minority. "What you have not seen on TV, and what makes me proud, are the many constructive meetings going on all over the country. Everywhere across the country you are seeing people who are coming together and having a civil, honest, often difficult conversation about how we can improve the system," he said.
In other words: Comrade Obama has decreed that State Run media, Pravda (NBC), Tass (CBS), Izvestia (ABC) and other State Run news outlets are to stop immediately covering the dissidents.
Biden’s big surprise followed by the measures we “won’t agree with ... at first.”
There is.
I wish I had the time to do this comparison!
[So I guess the MSMs attacking of the folks showing up at the town halls isnt working so phase two is to ignore them.]
You nailed it.
President Bush, as you said, welcomed criticism and protest as something fundamentally American.
Of course that's because he IS an American......
(Maybe the clips are in the Glenn Beck archives?)
Funny, we were thinking there was too much media emphasis on you, Obama.
Obama says news organizations are putting too much emphasis on scenes of hostile protesters
"All that is required, is cheerleading and rubberstamping my program."
If they will not cover it, people will go to the networks that do cover it.
Is that why the media overwhelmingly voted for you, Mr. Obama?
Looks like Obama gets his talking points from Democratic Underground. I stopped over there a couple times the past couple weeks and I was reading this very same line he’s now touting. Attack the media coverage of protesters.
Obama would better read the last Rasmussen poll:
Rasmussen: 54% would prefer no bill to current ObamaCare proposals
Thirty-five percent (35%) of American voters say passage of the bill currently working its way through Congress would be better than not passing any health care reform legislation this year. However, a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that most voters (54%) say no health care reform passed by Congress this year would be the better option
Among those not affiliated with either major party, 23% would like the Congressional reform to pass while 66% would rather the legislators take no action.
Obama team doesn’t care what anyone thinks. They are damned and determined to pass this. It isn’t about health care or insurance reform. It is about government control over every aspect of our lives.
I can guarantee you that they have a bigger fight on their hands than they realize. Most people want to be left alone to live their own lives. Once they figure out this is about telling them they can’t the protests are going to get even bigger.
Obama reminds me of a punk *ss walking in to the boss’s office with his resume in a leather brief case with nothing on it!
So true, and there is something seriously wrong with our government if the President is destroying our country.
“Obama team doesnt care what anyone thinks.”
Sure, but an important number of democrats in the Congress care about their jobs and privileges; they know that if they vote the bill on party line, they will be fired by their constituents next year. Let’s wait and see how many of them are ready to commit hara-kiri.
god forbid the msm doens’t show all is well in shangrala .. it hurts “the One’s” image
repression of the media, socialist #1 prioroty
