Bump to all four of your responses.

Racist struck a cord because it is a term only allowed for use by the Left.

I thought Mr. Beck gave a cogent explanation of WHY Mr. Obama was and is a racist.

Regarding the word racist, perhaps some are suggesting that the Right, composed of Conservatives or the Republicans (not necessarily one and the same) just run tail, cower, and simply add “racist” to their growing special dictionary of banned words that are off limits by use of the Right.

Don’t recall that there is such a dictionary of banned words for the Left. Which is part of Beck’s point as well.

I don’t agree with everything Beck says, he cloaks in humor mixed with cynicism, operating from a different level than some other talk show hosts, giving a broad overview what is happening to the US, but his heart is right.

I agree. The rules have changed. The civil rights battle was fought and appropriately won. "Racist" should have been a word that was retired sometime in the 80's or 90's but blacks would never let go of it, even when zero was elected president for cripes sake.

But they do it at their own peril. See Rules for Radicals: "Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues." And people may become immune to words and labels when used too often. Honestly, when I was called a racist during the campaign for the first time in my life, it stung. Now it has no impact since I know what is in my heart. You can play a card so many times until everyone knows your game.

Now see Rule 5 from Rules for Radicals: "Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage." Yes I am suggesting that we go there ...for crying out loud, a black man is in the WH, racism (at least white on black) is done. Stick a fork in it. I am not great with the one liners so I won't try. But there is a whole lot of material here for comics. There more people who see the absurdity of the suggestion that only white people can be racist the better; it neuters the other side in a big way.
