JERUSALEM – For the first time since coming into office, President Obama is under serious pressure to study the possibility of an Israeli military strike against Iran, a top Egyptian intelligence official told WND.

The Egyptian official said the pressure does not only come from Israel but also from Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia that are at odds with Iran and its Shiite theocracy.

The official said Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Saudi foreign minister, has been involved in an intense, behind-the-scenes lobbying effort urging the U.S. and other Western countries to do everything necessary to ensure Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons. Such weapons would threaten Saudi Arabia's position of influence in the Middle East.

The Egyptian official said his country believes it is not likely Obama will grant Israel permission to attack Iran.

Saudi Arabia is filthy rich, it could surely procure the wherewithal for Israel to glass Iran over without having to use a penny from Washington.

No-sh*t the Arab nations are afraid of Iran. Not only are there fundamental religious differences (different sects of Islam), the Iranians are not Arab. There are vast racial and cultural differences too. Add to that Iran has a much larger population than the Arab nations... If they can get the US and/or Israel to take care of Iran, they will not be all that upset. With the naive one we have in the Oval Office, it shouldn't be too hard for the Saudis to manipulate him into a mercenary role.

Obama is such a uniter!!! He is helping Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia et al work together for peace.... against Iran. If he keeps this up they'll all be united against us. And hey, regardless of what we do or don't do, Iran will stll be against us.

If feel all hopeychangey.

It isn’t about the money.

It is all about political cover.

Even more irony. The Saudis have a considerable airforce with F-15’s and AWACS.

"The Egyptian official said the pressure does not only come from Israel but also from Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia that are at odds with Iran and its Shiite theocracy."

The Saudi's aren't stupid. They know darn well that Iran want's to control the entire ME, north AND south of the Euphrates river. Their real target isn't Israel at all. It's control over the oil fields, which gives them a lot of power over Europe, and all the other countries that depend of ME oil.

And Putin has his eye on that pie as well, along with a few other little Stans that are all hoping to be part of the new Persian empire.

Obama has been an obstacle to Israeli self-defense against Iran nukes.

If Obama changes his position to please his Arab buddies, he will spin it as evidence that he is not an anti-Semite.

"Not only are there fundamental religious differences (different sects of Islam), the Iranians are not Arab."

Not that many. Mohammad is still the pedophile Prophet, and the Koran is still the Koran, and it is basically the exact same when it comes to Jews Christians and the rest of the world.
There fighting over a few Ali verses and control doesn't change any of that.

And there is still a lot of Arab blood in Iran. There were a lot of Persian s at one time, but like everywhere in the ME, during the first Muhammadan conquests, the Arabs interbred everyone's cultural identity out, including their own.

Whether it's Shiites or Sunni fundamentalists, It all spells the same thing to us in the end. The war between them will be a short one, and what emerges from it is what goes on to wage war with the rest of the world. Ironically, Prophesy tells us that this Persian Empires religion will become something fundamentally different, no doubt because of the large part of it is made up of northeastern Asian members

"Different from all the other kingdoms" on the planet, "it will devour the whole earth, trample it underfoot and crush it." (Dn.7:23).

The bible tells us that It's the North (Shiite) that pervails, and goes on to crush Europe and Rome, and do serious damage in our neck of the woods as well. All because the will to prevent the rise of this last Persian empire wasn't there at the beginning (now).
