How much you want to bet that Joshua Nolastname and Michael Lent didn’t read the first word of the Mackey opinion piece.

I love Whole Foods and have practically lived there since my diagnosis of multiple myeloma last year. I credit their awesome organic and local food with my going into remission later that same year. Go John Mackey!! Everyone shop at WFMI... they are the best in the business!!

OK, you're right. John Stossel is the exception. He grew. No one knows why. My guess is his IQ was too high to remain a knee jerk liberal...

Same thing that happened to Dennis Miller.

So, ABC let him stay on so they wouldn't look as biased and hateful as they are... but as interesting as Stossel is - and as insightful - he's still a token.

Liberal PR firms have to pay more for writers - so the comments will run in our favor until they put their paid trolls on to the task.

“I’ve been a fan of medical savings accountsfor a very long time.”

I have an HSA and I love it. In the current house bill, HSA’s are forbidden....Proof enough that the current crop of Dems are no longer pro-choice.

“A side note: the ‘organic movement’ is a sham. People go out of their way to buy produce that has no significant nutritional advantage over non-organic crops.”

The food may be nutritionally the same, but organic food doesn't add pesticides or antibiotics. I try and buy organic as much as possible (not always easy or possible).

Thank you for the link! I used it to find the closest store, AND to email a Thank You to Mr. Mackey.
Here is my email -

Thank you Mr. Mackey,

Your opinion on the Healthcare debate was a most welcome breath of fresh air and freedom. While I am normally not a regular Whole Foods shopper, simply because there is not one in my area, I have had the pleasure of patronizing your stores in Atlanta. When I happened upon an article about your views on the Healthcare issue, I was moved to contact you, and even better, discovered that there is in fact, a store less than 2 hours south of me in Florida! I will most certainly start making it a regular stop on my trips south, and will encourage my Mother and sister, and friends, to do the same, AND to spread the good word.

Many years ago, I began a return to foods that were as simple, and unprocessed as possible, since I increasingly came to see that the more processed a “food” was, the less able our bodies seemed to be able to know exactly what to do with it. It is my opinion, that many of our health problems today, can be directly attributed to the ever increasing dependence on the “new and improved!”, and “now easier than before!”, “boxed foods” that fill the typical grocery store. Our whole family has benefited from my “alternative” point of view, and that is why I am writing to you today.

More and more, I see government intruding into our lives, and usurping our freedom to make our own choices. This must stop. The very essence of this nation is founded upon the freedom of it’s citizens to choose for themselves, with the clear understanding that we alone bear the responsibility for the consequences of those choices. Contrary to current opinion, government’s job is NOT to protect us from ourselves! Government cannot possibly know what is best for me, so they need to step way back, and leave us to the business of managing our own lives.

We cannot, and should not step back from this fight, and I thank you again, for stepping forward to say Enough, with us, and for us.

Your newest customer,
Tatt ; }

Wow...this is amazing. Beacause of gluten restrictions I have grown to love Whole Foods and Trader Joes for years. I drive all the way to Chapel Hill and Durham. I guess the libs believe they own the chain and conservatives are not welcome. It's like the little kids who build the tree house and start an exclusive club. Brats!

I will say...I loathe the gay mags at the registers.

I’m heading over in a few minutes to get some whole bean coffee from our local Whole Foods.
