This isn’t the first time I have seen a poll or study with precisely this result. In fact I cant recall ever seeing a contrary result.
I can’t understand why women can’t get along with women more than men can’t get along with men. I am a guy, I really don’t care what the gender of my boss is.
I think there are a lot of factors here.
I once had a 50 something male boss who was like a damn drill sargent. You felt like you could be fired at anytime for any little mistake.
and then...
I had a really nice 40 something female boss. She treated me really well, I would say like a son. and she had a son my age. I think that helped her give me the benefit of the doubt a couple times. So I really think there is a difference between women who have children and women who do not.
