Experts who track hate groups across the U.S. are growing increasingly concerned over violent rhetoric targeted at President Obama, especially as the debate over health care intensifies and a pattern of threats emerges.

The reference to some incident in LA doesn’t even have any link to Obama....just an altercation between a possibly mentally ill person in a red VW and police.

Steve Gilbert is right, but I would add the true purpose of the Southern Poverty Law Center is to solicit donations and they are wildly successful. The method is to stoke fear and collect.

No one wanted to look at McVeigh’s ties to Phillipine Islamic terrorists and yet they are there.

Clinton was issuing apologies that afternoon to Arab-American groups and the 'John Does' went off the radar.

It was to Clinton's political benefit to blame 'radical right winged Christian gunowning hate groups', especially with the Waco hearings going on. That way no one would question the whitewash job for fear of being branded part of a "hate" group.

I am sure duhwon has people combing the internet and the airwaves looking for any example of violent rhetoric, and my bet is that if it does appear, it will be planted by people working for Obama, directly or indirectly and ballyhooed as an excuse to crush resistance, either by villification in the media or more direct means.

We are more acutely aware of the Alinsky tactics which were used even then, and can hopefully avoid or counter such an attack.
