Sorry I couldn’t get past the fact you voted for Obama,,,if you are that deceived about who he is, then there is no hope for you and I certainly don’t want to read that crap...or you are SDS, or just plain ignorant. My mother is a registered democrat, and she had sense enough not to vote for this group of Alinsky radical marxists.

President Obama resumed the role he is best at -- representing the U.S. with dignity and authority abroad.

Could read no further.

You should have. She rips into the Dems starting the second or third paragraph. It really is a good read.

I would agree that some good points are made — but the author started this combined puff and hit piece the wrong way.

"But somehow liberals have drifted into a strange servility toward big government, which they revere as a godlike foster father-mother who can dispense all bounty and magically heal all ills. The ethical collapse of the left was nowhere more evident than in the near total silence of liberal media and Web sites at the Obama administration's outrageous solicitation to private citizens to report unacceptable "casual conversations" to the White House. If Republicans had done this, there would have been an angry explosion by Democrats from coast to coast. I was stunned at the failure of liberals to see the blatant totalitarianism in this incident, which the president should have immediately denounced. His failure to do so implicates him in it."

She certainly says one whole heck of a lot in the above paragraph. And she is RIGHT!

As a libertarian and refugee from the authoritarian Roman Catholic church of my youth, I simply do not understand the drift of my party toward a soulless collectivism.

Camille, you're more confused than I would've ever thought. I'll pray for you, but I don't think I'll be reading much of your stuff anymore.

"Except for that wily fox, David Axelrod, who could charm gold threads out of moonbeams, Obama seems to be surrounded by juvenile tinhorns, bumbling mediocrities and crass bully boys."

"the Obama administration's outrageous solicitation to private citizens to report unacceptable "casual conversations" .. . . . . . "which the president should have immediately denounced. His failure to do so implicates him in it."

Yes - a LOT of heads need to roll.

I can’t get past the idea that Obama represents the US better than Bush. HUH?

Obama has run around apologizing for us while Bush stood up for us. Up is down, night is day....

I went to a boxing match last night and things got so out of control, a health care townhall meeting broke out.

For crying out loud folks! This is Camille "Bush is Hitler" Paglia! This is one of the loudest "emperor has no clothes" admissions I've heard yet! SHE ADMITTED SARAH PALIN WAS SHREWD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

That's like MoDowd admitting that abortion is a sin!

As Conan would say, "...take a moment and enjoy the lamentation of the enemy's woman!"

Dear Sam - I am aware of who she is and the significance of her statements. You needn’t address me as if I were born yesterday.

I agree!

I went looking for a photo of Camille and lookie what I found.
CP is questioning a lot!

But Paglia is also the 1st credentialed liberal I’ve seen express serious concern about Obama’s birth certificate, questions about which I’ve been dismissing as conspiracy theory. And Paglia spotlights the very creepy side (aside from the terrorist side) of Bill Ayers’ wife Elizabeth Dohrn. Makes me want to rent the Weather Underground documentary she rented.

" As a libertarian and refugee from the authoritarian Roman Catholic church of my youth, I simply do not understand the drift of my party toward a soulless collectivism. This is in fact what Sarah Palin hit on in her shocking image of a "death panel" under Obamacare that would make irrevocable decisions about the disabled and elderly. When I first saw that phrase, headlined on the Drudge Report, I burst out laughing. It seemed so over the top! But on reflection, I realized that Palin's shrewdly timed metaphor spoke directly to the electorate's unease with the prospect of shadowy, unelected government figures controlling our lives. A death panel not only has the power of life and death but is itself a symptom of a Kafkaesque brave new world where authority has become remote, arbitrary and spectral. And as in the Spanish Inquisition, dissidence is heresy, persecuted and punished. "

" Sorry I couldn’t get past the fact you voted for Obama,,,if you are that deceived about who he is, then there is no hope for you and I certainly don’t want to read that crap...or you are SDS, or just plain ignorant. My mother is a registered democrat, and she had sense enough not to vote for this group of Alinsky radical marxists "

It looks like they voted Independent..... I know a few people who are Independents and voted for Obama..

From that one paragraph.... it looks like that Sarah Palin has got this person's attention... and it looks like Sarah Palin is targeting her attention towards the Independents ( I am not saying that she has forgotten about true blooded conservatives .. on the contrary ) ....
