Because it’s better to have at least a decent bill than have it rammed through by the Dems.
I hope it still fails completely or results in a complete start over. But, I would rather have the most erroneous parts removed than have no GOP vote for it yet have the Dems pass it as they want!
You will wind up with the same bill, no matter what they say. This is BS, trying to pull the wool over your eyes. They will not pass the bill if we keep pressure on, in ANY FORM, and that should be the goal. Your way is defeat because they will simply add all that sh** back into the bill, count on it.
The problem is that you think that more government force in health care could possibly be a good thing. And I’ll say it again: Every single government program gets bigger and worse. Always. This will just be a foot in the door. A “decent bill”? That would be acceptable to Democrat congress? To Obama? Surely you jest.
We are in this mess because for decades Republicans and “conservatives” have given in little by little. Never taking a stand. Well now is the time to take a stand and say no.
The problem is that the GOP has NOT been the party of “no”. But rather the party of not quite so much. Time to be the party of NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
