Someone needs to create a video of SEIU violence to the song “Purple People Eater”. Better yet, if someone could do that to a parody of the song with the lyrics changed to “purple people beater” (and the rest of the lyrics appropriatly changed) it would be very powerfull.

Ernest Istook is very, very good. I remember him as one of the best congressmen in his era, not so long ago. There must be something in the Oklahoma water supply which produces great political leaders like him and Tom Coburn.

I believe he retired from politics when he lost the governor's race. The populist fundamentalist mafia unleashed a bigoted campaign against him because of his religion, not unlike what was done to Bobby Jindal in Louisiana because of his race. It was absolutely disgraceful. I don't recall the details, but I believe Istook was either Catholic or Mormon. Perhaps some Oklahoma freeper could supply the details.
