Everyone I've ever known on Medicare had/has to have a supplemental (private) policy for their "basic" health care needs.

WTF do they think AARP is for, discounts at Denny's?

It is quite a bit cheaper to get Medigap coverage through compamies other then the one AARP flaks for on thier site and in their mailings.
