I just got a response from P&G....pure obfuscation.

“Hi & thanks for contacting us.

We appreciate your taking the time to let us know how you feel. We hope you understand the preparation of news programs is handled entirely by the staff of the television network, and the selection of program content is based solely on their judgment. Advertisers aren’t given the opportunity to review news programs in advance. And the appearance of our ads on such shows indicates neither our approval nor our disapproval of the content.

Still, comments like yours help us determine the placement of our future ads, and I’m sharing your comments with the appropriate people in our Company.

Thanks again for getting in touch!

Sheri
P&G Team”

Thanks for sharing that - it will help me in the drafting of my letter to them. Of course we (on the right) recognize that they have no control over the content. But we also equally recognize that they have influence over it by virtue of their abrupt withdrawal of support.

Had they simply declined to continue to host a particular show (for whatever reason) at contract renewal time, it wouldn’t be an issue. But to yank their ads the way they did shows a disrespect for their business partner and contempt for their audience.

Wait till the 2010 and 2012 elections. Heres how I see it. Obumy will have acorn and the union thugs at all the polls, will let in only obumys voters. After he takes the 2012 election he will repeal the presidential term limits and we will watch as he rapes and pilliages the country after he opens the borders to all his mussy brothers. God help the USA.
