There are a lot of "cruel" people in the country if the White House definition is really the true definition for cruel...

Oh right, anything but discuss the REAL issue. The proposed plan WILL increase taxes on already overburdened taxpayers AND to date, the U.S. Government has delivered absolutely NOTHING in a way that is efficient or cost effective!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, denying Granny treatment for her disease in favor of the cheaper end of life option is cruel.

The ‘rumors’ are not difficult to combat, Ms. Douglass. Your boss gets prime-time coverage every time he wants to open his mouth. All he has to do is stand before the media and before an American audience and give specific answers to the questions that are being raised by concerned citizens (’please refer to page...’). And, if he doesn’t have the specific answers, then he needs to put folks in front of a camera who knows what the heck they’re talking about. The only fact that your boss was able to articulate in Tuesday’s campaign stop in NH was that UPS and FEDX ran their operations better than the U.S. Post Office. People understood that, Ms. Douglass, and I’m sure they’d understand your boss if he spoke similar truths.

“These are such hard conversations for people to have inside their families,” Douglass continued. “Adult children sometimes say, ‘Oh mom, oh dad - you’re going to live forever, let’s not talk about it.’ I mean, all this is, is the opportunity, voluntarily if a senior wants to have a conversation about a living will, to have this conversation conducted with a medical professional, covered by Medicare.”

If it’s just an “opportunity”...if it’s “voluntary”, then why is it part of the proposed LAW?

if a private insurance company sent an end-of-life couselor to talk with an elderly patient, they’d be getting ripped to shreds as the lead story on 60 Minutes that Sunday

End of life counseling should involve:

You
Your doctor
Your family
Your pastor (or priest, rabbi, or whatever depending on your religion.)

That’s it.

It should not involve:

The government
Some social worker you know nothing about

Now, now, they are talking about “Death Panel” comments that even FNC Cavuto and Megn Kelly said are nonsense.

Not as cruel as taking health care away from old people. We need to scrap this bill and start over.

The President's healthcare plan better qualifies for the word “torture” than anything that happened at Gitmo.

No, taking the position it’s ok to dispose of abortion-surviving infants like so much trash is cruel.

Not standing up for freedom fighters in Iran is cruel.

Favoring the position of adherents of a death cult such as islam is cruel.

Shall we go on, Dr. Nancy? I’ve got a LOT more!

Are you wary of the federal government using taxpayer dollars...

Yeah, pretty much you can stop right there. If it's anything other than printing money and making war then I'm wary of it.

Cruel, huh? Ms. Douglass should look up her boss's voting record in the Illinois senate. I think she might rethink her use of the word "cruel" after reading that he voted three times against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. He voted three times that, in cases where a baby survived an abortion attempt, the child should be allowed to die, rather than give it basic human care, like a warm blanket and a sip of water.

And this is the guy who wants to reform health care.
