In addition her circumstances, starting out early on in her political life as a dem and as she matures growing into a conservative are not all that unusual.

The amazing part was a hispanic spokesperson for the farm workers, who when asked by Hannity if he voted for Obama said yes, but this wasn’t the kind of change he bargained for. People’s eyes are being opened, let’s just hope it’s not too late.

It's not too surprising but as Hispanics and other minorities advance from basic needs to higher needs on the scale,they too worry about the constitution, law and order etc. and most cast out their liberal leanings that they held in more ignorant times.

I agree. She is pretty typical of what happens when a lot of women get a job, get married and have families. My conversion in 96--98 happened in that order. Of course listening to Rush pushed me to the point of no return. She doing a great job at handling the media/national attention.

She's the reason Dems don't support marriage. They know marriage, in general, creates stability for people. So much more fun for them to create chaos and wreak havoc and come in with their big government, big daddy, nanny state solutions to save the day.

If she’s the one I saw, number 7, her performance seemed staged. She follows a guy who asks a really high level question which Specter never answers. She started out calm and then explodes into an almost hysterical rant about what’s happening to her America. It just seemed so contrived.

Well, according to the body language lady on Bill O. she was very sincere. She starts off nervous and then gains confidence from the supportive crowd.

First a disclaimer: I didn't see this exchange, so I have no subjective axe to grind regarding her "performance" demeanor.

However, I believe these discussions about sincerity versus contrivance are essentially irrelevant. What IS relevant, and what we need to focus on, is the TRUTH.

Was the lady direct in her comments, were her statements factually correct, is her assessment of what is occurring in America accurate, was she speaking the truth? On the other hand, was Specter direct or evasive, were his statements factually correct, was he speaking the truth?

These factors are what is important. And, I can't help but wonder at those long-time members of this forum who keep trying to divert or steer the discussion of substantive issues on many threads onto subjective matters of personality, style or presentation.

The problem obviously "is" big govt.

It has gotten so big it's like a snowball running over all of us. We need to send a missile at it and shrink it in size. It's all about getting back to our roots of strong capitalism and believers in small govt.
