I admit that, lately, I can’t help but enjoy the piquant taste of schadenfreude, which is a fine German word (the language from which our own English is descended, by the way) meaning something like “enjoying the hell out of the discomfort of others.” Such inappropriate and immature feelings of glee on my part almost totally result from the national howl of protest at what we all now call “ObamaCare,” which is the Democrat plan for national health care, I mean…insurance, “reform.”

I think it’s great seeing “the masses” out and about at sundry town halls, dissenting with patriotic fervor against one of the most colossal grabs at personal liberty and freedom that any government has attempted since Dick Nixon went off the reservation in such a grand way back in 1972. Really, this is the most fun a person can have with his clothes on (or off), probably.

… But I forget…people like Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer and White House Reich minister of (Dis)Information Linda Douglass consider the plebeians out carrying homemade and hand-lettered signs protesting against what’s sure to wind up being a single-payer health care (read: “national health”) system to be some type of artificial grass who “might not know what’s good for them,” in the words of esteemed journalist Andrea Mitchell, of the NBC and MSNBC networks…

I’ll leave you with this observation from law professor and writer, Ellis Washington, who seems to be a pretty smart fellow from what I can tell:

“The greatest achievement of any fascist or tyrannical dictator is to convince you he is a champion of the people, of freedom and liberty while simultaneously he puts the shackles on your writs, on your ankles … and on your mind.” (Epistemology)

I like the word "DOH!". Obama said he is not for a single payer health care system and the a Video of him saying he is for it surfaces - DOH!.

He says you will not lose your health insurance under his plan and then you find out you will if you lose your job - DOH! He says he will have the most ethical administration and then gets a Tax Cheating treasury secretary. DOH!

DOH! is a really cool word. Thanks Homer, RINOs, Libs and Progressives thank you - DOH!

Bit of a nit, but this one has always bugged me.

Both English and German are descended from a common Germanic language which no longer exists.

IOW, German is a second cousin of English, not an ancestor.

English is also the most bastardized language on the planet, with massive imports from French, Latin and just about every other language on the planet. No language has more loan words.
