Bush endorsed Specter over Toomey. I blame Bush for making an obvious mistake now, and I blamed Bush for making what seemed like an obvious mistake then. Are you saying Bush was correct in picking Specter?

Of course “Everything” isn’t Bush’s fault, but picking Specter over Toomey? That was a mistake by Bush, and he must share in the blame.

Prefacing this post with my opinion that President Bush should not have done the standard thing and endorsed the "sure thing" in Specter over Toomey, it needs to be said that endorsing the encumbent is what Republican presidents do.

It may have been a mistake, but bringing it up now and blaming Bush for the creep and liar in that Town Meeting today, was reaching and needless, as well as illogical.

If Bush hadn't endorsed Specter, it's likely that we might have had (another) Democrat rather than Specter, but one who voted against him 100% of the time, rather than just part of the time.

(btw, I can't stand Specter. He betrayed President Bush repeatedly because he is a weasel. Blame the right guy here. Blame Specter).
