BREAKING...
Just Announced on Greta's Show on FOX. The word has been received by FOX from the Wall Street Journal that Congress has scrapped the plans to purchase the eight new jets. You can see the earlier article in the WSJ regarding the dissention in Congress over this planned spending here: Opposition Emerging to House's Jet Spree
The news broke about 15 min. ago, and details are not posted on FOX's website as yet. However, Greta congratulated the American Public and the politicians who opposed this spending.
The original request was "...for $220 million to buy four passenger jets, including two that are currently being leased by the Air Force, to replace a fleet of older planes. The article continues: " Before leaving town for the August break, House lawmakers doubled the aircraft order to eight, at a total cost of $550 million."
Nazi Pelosi has to keep using the older aircraft? She will not be happy with this! Cities shall burn! only kidding.
I’m not celebrating quite yet. Besides, this may be one of those cases where they start out with $550 million, and then “whittle” it down to a “bare bones” $200 million and then say they SAVED us $350 million!
Only in Washington would doubling an initial order for $220 million equal $550 million.
Pelosi can ride her broom.
Oh, the poor Congressmen! No new jet planes? How will they ever manage? This is an outrage! Call your Congressman and insist that they put the new jets back in the bill!
Next we need a Stimuless Plan for Congress. A per diem of #100 per day while in session. I think this is overpaying but I think they’re worthless than they’re now being paid!
It crushes me that Nazi won’t have a luxurious new jet to fly in, how horrible!
Let the free market work, and try to understand the efficiency of corporate aviation: When you pay big bucks to top executives, it makes NO sense to take days out of their schedules, every month, with commercial, public, airline travel!
Also, business meetings are often held IN FLIGHT on corporate jets, something you can not do on a scheduled airline.
Anyway, these pompous idiots, in Washington KILLED the aviation industry, with the scape goating and stupid populist demagoguery, but THEY deserve private aircraft, of their own?
The Machinist Union leadership is insane to support Obama and Pelosi!
They are killing:
BOEING
LEARJET
CESSNA
BEECHCRAFT
SPIRIT
And countless other sup contractors!
They'll remodel the old planes, to the tune of.... $550 million!
Your reply was such a good one. What will wake up the Unions? When the economy is so bad, and so many jobs are lost that their union ranks shrink and members quit to take other jobs and can't pay dues. When the Unions then are beyond being profitable to the rich Union leaders, then it will dawn on them who sold them down the river.
Thanks for posting. We hate them in DC too.
That's because they were using the Cash For Clunkers plan where the dealer gets to mark up the full list price because they have to deal with government forms and then destroy the a perfectly functional jet engine in order to comply with the government mandate to get these jet fuel guzzlers out of the sky and save the planet with the much more efficient new jets that only release 2000x the greenhouse emissions as an SUV instead of 2100x.

LOL!
They ought to strap her fat ass into a C-47.
I say let the sorry SOB’s walk wherever they need to go.
And then have the pilot & co-pilot parachute out. Hey Nancy, guess what? You're on your own! Happy Landing!!!
