But this growing disapproval by the public toward the job its Senators are doing in Washington has not been evenly distributed between Democrats and Republicans. The Republicans have seen their net approval rating drop an average of 6.6 points from January to July, while the Democrats have seen their net approval rating drop nearly twice that amount at 12.5 points.

The Democrats had further to fall - they were riding Obama's popular coat-tails in January. Missing in the Obama/Democrats return to earth is any sign that the GOP has learned it's lesson on fiscal responsibility and limited government. I also see no credible national leader or spokesman for the GOP emerging yet. Come fall of 2010 the American economy is likely to have recovered to some extent, because even Obama and the Democrats can't completely kill it - and the Democrats will take credit for it. The GOP has a lot of work to do.

We need to make sure that all Americans know how the town halls are going and make it clear to them they are not being listened to on this issue. Remember, most of them only get their “news” from the major tv networks.

They still have cap and trade to lower their ratings.

It is interesting that even though the Democrats are so unpopular now, the Rinos dominating the Senate have managed to avoid capitalizing on this state of affiars and have dropped in approval ratings.

No independent conservative Senate leadership - just going along to get along Rino idiots leading the way. There will be more Rinos to join them in the next sentate election cycle as they have cherry picked other Rinos to run in races. Sad state of affairs.

Congress is going down with their Messiah. The American people aren’t happy campers and it’s only going to get worse, IMO. 2010 and 2012 will send them packing when the voters really show their anger.

Conservatives MUST find candidates with spine and guts to run; candidates that will listen to the people and candidates that are not arrogant Elitists.

This just in Aug. 12:

Dirty Harry Reid (D-Nev) is up for election next year. If the election were held today, the Senate Majority Leader would lose to the relatively unknown Republican State GOP Chairwoman by 8%.
