What would happen if a country of, say, over a billion people decided to make a bunch (say 10,000) of relatively unsophisticated planes, ones that could be made fast and cheap, but reasonably well armed, and launched a massive attack at the US or one our allies?
How about this - what if we got into a real shooting war with a country of over a billion people - and our weaponry all depended on computer chips made in or around that country?
We have wrapped ourselves in a blanket of denial that I fear will soon become our shroud.
Well, it won’t happen. Give him his due, Tip O’Neil was speaker, not Nancy Pelosi, and while he was an SOB, he was an original Kennedy, anti-Communist type. Getting suppoprt for the military out of dovish liberals like Pelosi, who want to turn the military into a social experiment, would be almost impossible.
Of course, miracles do happen.
They are betting that China dare not go to war. I bet they are wrong.
Enviromentalism is religion to many liberals. Behind the zeal is a hatred of the industralism that—paradoxically—enables them to live in a luxury that Louis XIV would envy.
Yes “hatred of the industrialism” is very true, but few of the bulk of them realize just how far their leaders want to go. 10-15 years ago the leaders were more open about their long term plans than today.
By the time the bulk of the libs discover the truth behind their leaders plans they will all be living in tepees, and all things modern will be something only their leaders can own.
I have a couple of pieces on the above - if you want the links FRmail me. I don't want to be accused of trolling for blog hits again...
