Lindsey Graham Pledges to Work with Dems on Immigration Reform [McLame poodle "ready and willing"]
Politics Daily ^ | 2009-08-10 | David Knowles

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is working behind the scenes to help Democrats craft a new version of former President Bush's immigration reform bill. Graham also supported the Bush/Kennedy/McCain bill back in 2007. As The Wall Street Journal reports:

Wes Hickman, a spokesman for Mr. Graham, said in a statement that "Senator Graham is ready and willing to play a key role in immigration reform. He intends to work with many of his colleagues on both sides of the aisle."

The new bill will most likely be introduced in September by Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), and Graham has been working with his colleague in search of other Republican votes. President Obama had pledged to tackle immigration reform in his first year of office, but on Friday he issued a statement saying he hoped Congress would pass legislation early in 2010.

Nice, cozy pix with the frankenster - hey SCers! Can you guys get RID of this lame nut Graham? He’s a perfect example of the rotting of a Repub by too much exposure to DC. He was a great rep but now officially sucks...

This piece of filth needs to be flushed from office like Frank Church was.

The people he represents are far more conservative than he pretends to be.

Lindsey Graham should follow Mel Martinez and resign.

Perfect commercial:
“At a time when many Americans are having a hard time finding a job, Congress is considering giving amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, in an attempt to garner political power. Politicians see illegal immigrants as potential voters, ordinary citizens see them as competition in a scarce job market....”

My main question would be, if amnesty could potentially add millions of new democrat voters to the American electorate....why would republicans be helping change the voter demographics to favor the dems?

Makes one wonder if we truly do have ONE political party with two choices as the Europeans claim.

Especially because he is clearly trying to position himself to run for president like McCain, and with primaries beginning in liberal states, we are going to have this loser shoved down our throats. And I don’t think he would get as much support from the base as McCain did.

McCain’s only saving grace was the fact that he was a war hero.

Graham doesn’t even have that.

CONSERVATIVE states should start a movement to have THEIR primaries AS EARLY as possible.

If “Immigration Reform” means a stronger fence and troops on the border, then I’m in favor of it.

The GOP called the other day asking for contributions, They were told “hell no” because of Rinos like Graham, Snowe, Collins etc. Give to individual Pubbies who demonstrate a backbone with conservative principles. Graham doesn’t come up for election now, but when he does he must be defeated.
