Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Monday that his country would hold the Lebanese government responsible for any attacks on Israeli targets by the country's Hezbollah militia.
It was the latest shot in a war of words that has been escalating since a July 14 explosion at a suspected Hezbollah arms depot near the Israeli border.

in the event of renewed hostilities, Israel would "go after not only Hezbollah but the entire state of Lebanon."
Ideally this forces Lebanon to disown and go after Hezbullah.
Not an easy task for Lebanon though. Ideally the non/anti-Hezbullah Lebanon would team up with Israel and kick out this Khomeinist, Syria and mullah sponsored cyst.

It was one of those pedal-around ice cream vending wagons, some problem with the dry ice. Or maybe a skid of party poppers went up in a wedding planner's office.
In this instance, Netanyahu must be on something. Hezbollah is way more powerful than the Lebanese army. The Lebanese army as such is probably also made up of about 1/3rd of Shia as well (that’s around their percentage in the population, and growing). In the last war Israel went after Hezbollah, and many Lebanese silently cheered. They were hoping that Israel would deal with Hezbollah once and for all. They didn’t.
The Lebanese are sick of civil war, especially an unwinnable one with Hezbollah. Hezbollah at any moment can wipe the Lebanese out. Hezbollah is nothing without Iran. Instead of threatening the regular Lebanese who can’t do anything about Hezbollah, Israel and US should be doing something about Ira, the real power behind Hezbollah. But Iran is much more powerful. All Netanyahu succeeded in doing is look like a bully.
The Christians in Lebanon, the natural allies of Israel, learned the hard way not to trust Israel. They have been used by Israel against their fellow Lebanese, and then left to Hezbollah’s “tender” mercies once Israel withdraws.
