CNN and the "fair and balanced" journalism. Is it still journalism?

Watching CNN international on TV somewhere in France,as we have no other US TV Channel available,i was struck by the incredibly unbalanced and then unfair representation of the political spectrum among the interviewed guests during this week-end. As the debate is getting harsher and harsher in US about OBAMA's policies it appeared stunning to see such a MSM going on that way without shame.

1/Hillary C. interviewed for a long while by F.ZAKARIA 2/Susan RICE interviewed by John KING 3/A.SPECTER interviewed by John KING

The few Republicans who were aired were parts of short debates where you have not a lot of time to expose your views....

Don't think that it can be called journalism with true and genuine investigations! The positive result of this could be that they will look more and more like activists and tools with SPECIAL INTERESTS and untold bounds

CNN International is the worst ever. Next time seek out Skynews they show Fox news shows. FWIW, Sky is owned by Ruppert Murdock.

CNN always seems as though they are talking down to their views. They all act as though they are government bureaucrats telling you what they think is good for you. I’m glad that I’m in America where I have “choice” about where I get my news.

If only there were an English word for this.

Oh wait! There it is, part way between “problem” and “prostitution” in the dictionary: “propaganda”.

The Communist News Network hasn’t been real news in years. They just promote propaganda for the DNC. It’s like watching Al Jazeera except its based in the U.S

CNN International makes MSNBC look Conservative.

“Al Jazeera”

I’ve actually heard that Al Jazeera was just straight up, no spin news. Couldn’t back that up though as I’ve never actually seen it personally.

The dinosaur media was always this unabashedly dishonest.

Nothing they are doing now is any worse than the things they did in the past. Look at the Pulitzer awarded and never retracted to Walter Duranty as a prime example.

Truth has never been important when it gets in the way of ideology, and professional journalism organizations have spent nearly a century celebrating this.

It isn’t playing nearly as well in the internet age, however.

You heard right. A sad commentary on the state of American journalism.

“A sad commentary on the state of American journalism.”

That it is. We do have one guy that is purely no frills news though. Ready a study based on media output during the 2008 campaign and elections. They said Brit Hume’s pieces were just stating what had occurred. Haven’t seen him lately though. Is he still on FoxNews?

Clinton#2 was in a promo saying she has a policy where she 'never talks about, what she talks about with her husband', after being asked about his trip to North Korea

Sure sounded stupid. Look for more "Good for Democrats, Bad for America" (Rush Limbaugh) to follow

"Good for Øbama Administration, Bad for America"

Bret Baier seems to be “just the news” as well.

If any network cared about the public, they would produce a one to two hour special, walking through and summarizing each section of the health care bill.

It's not that big. The thousand page is double spaced, with two inch margins.

CNN is just waiting till after the bill is passed to go over it, then they can tell everyone how stupid they are for supporting it

"fair and balanced" journalism

"Fair and balanced" is supposed to refer to FOX, not CNN. FOX, however, as we know, is faux-conservative -- they never miss an opportuniy to show strippers or pole dancers. (Am I lying? No.)
