Like Carter, Obama looks increasingly like a president out of step with the times. Like Carter, there is a large gap between what voters expected based on the measured and moderate tone of his campaign and what began unfolding after his inauguration. Obama ran as a centrist, but he is governing from the left.

But if you actually read about his background before the primaries, you knew all along that he was no centrist.

But they didn't even have to expend the minimal effort to read about his background. His immediate FOREGROUND was perfectly damning enough.

What part of "We're going to spread the wealth around" and "It doesn't matter if an increase in the capital gains tax actually decreases federal revenues, we want to increase it just to promote a sense of fairness" during the campaign did these mysterious deaf, dumb & blind beasts who actually believed this man was a moderate centrist before they voted for him not manage to comprehend? What part of his beloved 20-year racist anti-semitic pastor's homily to "God damn Amerika" last year did they not hear? What part of his recent tenure as the most liberal member of the US Senate casting the most extreme leftwing votes imaginable even last year did they not see?

I'm just not buying that the media was so negligent that the average voter didn't know this guy was a raving leftist. One didn't have to be plugged into alternative news sources to get exactly where this acolyte of Bill Ayers & Jeremiah Wright was coming from.

These Americans have to be held accountable for the damage they've done to their own country - and to their children's futures - by cavalierly voting for this malignant fool with all the red flags staring them right in their idiotic faces. They aren't brain-damaged children. They CHOSE to be reckless & irresponsible with their votes. They CHOSE to condemn their children & grandchildren to much more serious economic hardship in a much more dangerous world than their parents who managed to exercise at the very least a modicum of due diligence when casting their votes chose to leave to them.
