A number of skilled enthusiasts can withstand occasional handlebar-tapping while riding with aplomb.
The average non-cycling athlete would cr@p himself or herself if they felt so much as anything touching them as the blurred pavement zoomed past below.
Doubters here can replicate the experience opening the door of their car while in the passenger seat at 40.00 mph and imagine the feeling with no steel, glass, rubber, and aluminum cage surrounding you.
