There were no angry mobs or Nazi SS symbols at a health care town hall in Marylands heavily Democratic 4th Congressional district on Thursday night, but the member of Congress in the spotlight did face some tough questioning from small but vocal crew of administration critics in the audience.
(snip)
Mark King of Germantown who warned that the President is implementing socialist policies compared himself and other administration critics to those who rallied against King George during the American Revolution.
If we just reflect a little bit, this is how the country got started people came to town hall meetings and they expressed their opinions, King said.
Another man, John Peele of Prince Georges County, made a different historical comparison, likening the Democrats to Nazis and suggesting that Obama is like Hitler because he began his term in office as a well-liked national figure before consolidating power. Peele also questioned Obamas citizenship.
Its national socialism, Peele said of the administrations economic plans. I dont want national socialism. I want freedom. You dont want to sign your life over to something that they have total control of.
All of the health care reform critics at the town hall were residents of the 4th Congressional District and said they had come on their own volition as concerned citizens.
None of them said they had been directed to the town hall by interest groups opposed to health care reform an allegation levied by top Democrats throughout the week.
However, one Democrat from a neighboring Congressional district, Eunita Winkey, said she had decided to attend the forum after receiving an e-mail from Jason Waskey, the Maryland state director for Barack Obamas political organization, Organizing for America.

What's the matter with y'all in Maryland? Didn't you get the latest sheet music from the Orchestrator?
“PG County voted 88.9% for Obama.”
Well, I wasn’t one of them.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Congresswoman Edwards held her "Town Hall" at one end of the District, Hillcrest Heights. Driving down from Gaithersburg required dedication.
Do you live in PG, or have you taken a ride through there recently?
Remember, not all registered voters turn out to vote. So if 60% of registered voters turn out and a higher percentage of Republicans turn out to vote than Democrats, you are looking at a very small number of Republicans in PG. And they are probably all over 65.
“compared himself and other administration critics to those who rallied against King George during the American Revolution.”
It’s like my fantasy coming true....
If we just reflect a little bit, this is how the country got started people came to town hall meetings and they expressed their opinions,
Actually, these are not “town-hall meetings”. They are set-ups for showcasing communist plans; almost like a marketing show. Not discussion/council forums. It’s just that lots of people are sick and tired of the communist crap and are shouting out about it - and making it closer to a real “town-hall” meeting.
To wit:
"It is well known that Julius Caesar had his Brutus; Charles the First, his Cromwell. May George the Third Obama profit by their example; if this be treason, make the most of it!" - Patrick Henry
There are still white Americans living in PG County, Md.?
I grew up in PG County. I avoid even driving through the county these days. Maryland & PG. County, declining areas whose corruption and crime rival even Chicago and New York. All run by the Democrat Party.
Yes. Particularly in the Laurel, Bowie, College Park, and Berwyn Heights areas. In fact, if you objectively look at it, Bowie has a higher percentage of whites than Waldorf does. Both College Park and Berwyn Heights have higher percentages of whites than Annapolis or Columbia (67% for both vice 65% for Annapolis and 64% for Columbia)
I know it's hard to believe, but true.
If anything, though, blacks are leaving PG County for Charles County and Howard County, as it seems to me, if anything, the county is becoming more and more Hispanic than anything. Most of the blacks I see moving in the northern part of the county appear to be African immigrants rather than transplants from DC. Not that familiar with the southern part of the county since I retired from Andrews.

.....I’m an old Howard Co boy who remembers when Upper Marlboro was a quiet tobacco market town...we sold our place in 1995 and moved to the mountains of N.C.....I miss the Old Line State but don’t miss the taxes/corruption/traffic/political correctness ect....it’s sad what that wonderful place has become.
