I’m looking for a little more info on the Walter Reed event. My daughter and I will be landing at Reagan (I love that!) at 5:40, so we probably won’t get to the Sheraton National until 6:30 or so. I can’t find the post about transportation arrangements. What’s the best way to get to Walter Reed if we miss the group?

Your best bet unfortunately will be to grab a cab. The Metro Rail which we will be using to get there will take about 45 minutes. We are leaving the hotel at 5pm to arrive at Walter Reed by 6pm.

The Walter Reed Freep is from 6pm to 7:30pm when we start to return to the Sheraton for our 9/11 Candlelight vigil.

I’m afraid with the time you are arriving you will miss most of the Walter Reed Freep.

That is my best advice.
