'Cloud ship' scheme to deflect the sun's rays is favourite to cut global warming Ships with giant funnels which travel the world's seas creating more clouds to deflect the sun's rays could help cut global warming, say scientists. The "cloud ships" are favoured among a series of schemes aimed at altering the climate which have been weighed up by a leading think-tank. The project, which is being worked on by rival US and UK scientists, would see 1,900 wind-powered ships ply the oceans sucking up seawater and spraying minuscule droplets of it out through tall funnels to create large white clouds. This is almost as good as the Obamaclown that suggested everyone paint their roofs white to deflect the sun. NUTJOBS!
I want these built so that when the Vulcans land it looks like we at least sort of know what we’re doing.
Sending ships like these out into the oceans to pollute the atmosphere with water vapor is insane. If global warming is occurring (which it isn’t) there are some countries that would benefit. Nordic countries like Russia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, Canada, USA (Alaska), and parts of Chile and Argentina would benefit greatly if the climate warmed up. Trying to cool the earth artificially would actually amount to an act of war.
Sensible.
That is actually a practical solution, if you agree there is a problem.
Uh.....water vapor is supposed to be one of the worst “greenhouse gases” depending on who you listen to, so wouldn’t this cause more Gore Bull Warming?

No, it isn’t. It’s idiotic. Water vapor is a far more powerful greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.
So what’s the “carbon footprint” of these ships?

Please cite figures. At any rate it would cut down on UV radiation being absorbed and lower cooling costs. It would also be able to be done a house at a time, by the owners.

You know their solution will be manipulated as part of their propaganda machine as a tool for their control.
I think they should tape a billion butterflies together and turn them loose. That will block the sun over a significant area.
