I am from Houston. I went to Boston. It was worse. Much worse.
Speaking for myself, it was a vote not so much for McCain as it was a vote against Obama... and that means against the content of his character not the color of his skin. Of course, when Governor Palin was tapped to Veep, I was happy to cast my ballot for the Republican ticket.
My sympathies.
It was worse. Much worse.
Any idea what that's about. Incompetence on parade in Boston??? It's not like Boston/Essex County is setting any growth records, basically flat -- unlike most of Texas, including the metro areas which are seeing growth rates roughly TWICE the national average. Texas doesn't have a choice but to expand transportation infrastructure so if you were to hazard a guess, what's Boston's excuse?
BTTT
Civil society of America is coming under attack. We disagree with our politicians and they call us astroturf, and unAmerican, and NAZIS. They threaten us with facist dictates from subordinate, unelected officials. And they think we are going to crumble under the threat of fascism?
HELL NO! WE ARE STRONGER THAN THAT! Oklahoma can count on many friends in Missouri and Kansas, and Texas, to back them up. Make the vote happen on ENGLISH ONLY and advance the knight and bishop to center board.
Don’t forget to get someone honest in the SoS spot.
Our Secretary of State is appointed BUT in Oklahoma the Secretary of the State Election Board is our election official. The great news is that in 2008 we took over the OK Senate for the first time in history, kept the house, and got to appoint the head of the Election Board for the first time in state history. We have a DemocRAT Gov who is term limited in 2010 but we have a Republican head of the Election Board that Henry has ZERO say in how he rules.
See this, this is great:
Only 34% of Oklahomans voted for ZERO and if we had a vote today, he would be lucky to get 20% here. Take on Oklahoma and their voters go right ahead and help us throw out the lone Democrat in our delegation. All I know is that since we passed the tough Immigration Laws, the number of illegals has dropped noticeably. In fact, you can now go in an emergency room and be seen almost immediately! No more waiting behind illegals.
