If all the other things are true and they’re amoral, wouldn’t they just use superior force against citizens? How would that play out regarding the National Guard, etc? My brother is long-time Army, and even he isn’t sure that enough of the military wouldn’t be programmed enough to just follow orders.

The idea would be to get it widespread enough to bog down the fascist kings. One Waco, no problem. A hundred Wacos, a problem.

Read What good can a handgun do against an Army. There are many great points in that article. I particularly like this one:

Consider that last year there were more than 14 million Americans who bought licenses to hunt deer in the country. 14 million-- that's a number greater than the largest five professional armies in the world combined.
