“Because of this apparent denial of free speech and bias — and the seemingly blatant sham of a ‘townhall’ — many began to shout, some banged windows & doors.”

We need to learn from the civil rights movement — joining hands and singing something like “We shall overcome,” gathering quietly in huge numbers in a dignified manner. Make them look like the out of control, raging lunatics, and us as the innocent victims of their hate and lust for power. Give them no justification to react (bad PR on their part if they do).

Non-violence protest can be a extremely powerful force. We should study and use the methods of the MLK jr. effectively.

I just ordered my copy of Rules for Radicals. And I plan to use it.

Peter Mullenburg in a church in Woodstock VA (my hometown) opened his clerical robe to show a uniform. He recited the bible speech about a time to sow and a time to reap and a time for peace and a time for war.

Many followed him that day to join the revolution right from that Woodstock VA church that still stands today.

I think we all need to jump in a frying pan to make an omelet like shmoos. Them we need to politely ask our overlords to eat us for breakfast.

The time for that has long passed, now is the time to take action.

Read my tagline.

I have to agree.

Pounding on doors and shouting does not really do anything to accomplish our goals.

All it does is create news stories that talk about mob scenes. As a journalist myself, it would be hard to overcome the temptation to focus on the conflict.......WHICH GETS IN THE WAY OF THE MESSAGE WE ARE TRYING TO GET ACROSS BY ATTENDING THE TOWN HALLS IN THE FIRST PLACE.

If there are quiet demonstrations outside by those not allowed in and decent, thoughtful questions against the bill by those inside rather than shouts of “Commie” or “Socialism” without any kind of explanation of what that means, we will make a lot more headway to defeat Obamacare.
