I just might go for this one. Our ice maker hasn’t been working quite right, and I really can’t afford a new one.

You mean that instead of my paying 25 bucks to the dump to get rid of the old fridge, they’ll pay me?

Your “partial” sarcasm is appreciated. In my experience, even without a gubmint handout it has always been a toss-up whether to fix the ice maker or buy a new ‘fridge.

Buy plastic ice trays at the dollar store and use the icemaker bin for the gin. Dilema solved.

My wife mumbled something about, “When they get to cash for geezers, then I’ll listen.” I’ll have to keep an eye on that woman, if I can remember.

I use silly ice trays to make ice. Would be nice to get a new fridge. The fridge works. But it tends to make a lot of interesting noises all day like only a double digit year old fridge can manage. More than likely I’ll let the next homeowner inherit the thing with the house like I did. With this administration, they may keep tabs on who took the fridge money, then dictate what food I can keep in it.

Fact, unless you use ice like a snow cone stand, tray ice tastes better anyway. Of course my wife says: “Baloney! You are just too cheap to get a new ice maker”.
