I don’t follow you in what you think that demonstrates.

It appears to support the idea that this “punker” is in fact the forger. It would appear the forger made a typo in “maiden” (perhaps he was stoned) and then, being too lazy or stoned to do it over, simply covered up the typo with a smudge of salsa or who knows what before taking the photograph and sending it to Orly.

In the “punk’d” version, the bit of salsa or whatever has been wiped off, revealing the typo, but one can see the vestige of the original stain.

To my eyeballs — and that's why I had to zoom it in like this — the “punk’d” image DEFINITELY looks like it has spelled “Maiden” something like “Majeen” or “Maieen”.

Instead of trying to “re-create” the textured stain (more difficult to do) from the original image, he digitally darkened the area above and below the stain to compensate.

It's inconclusive how “Maiden” is spelled in the “original” image. In other words ... it's as unconfirmed as it ever was before the “punk’d” image was released.
